Fluffy pancakes that don't stick - now 7x faster with the Berndorf Sandrik Black Line

Ingredients:

  • 250 g plain flour (or semi-coarse flour for denser pancakes)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar (or a pinch of vanilla extract)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 300 ml milk (room temperature)
  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (plus extra to grease the pan)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • Optional: lemon zest for a fresh scent

Preparation procedure:

  1. To prepare the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and salt. Mix thoroughly with a whisk to distribute the powder evenly.
  2. To prepare the wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the egg and granulated sugar until light and frothy. Stir in the milk and melted butter. If you are using lemon zest, add it now.
  3. Slowly fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until the mixture comes together. Be careful not to stir the batter too long - fine lumps are fine and will help to fluff up the texture. Let the dough stand for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Heat the pan: Placethe Berndorf Sandrik Black Line pancake pan over medium heat. Wait until it is evenly heated. Thanks to the ILAG surface, you only need to brush the pan very lightly with butter or oil before the first batch.
  5. Pour the batter into the individual holes of the pan. Fill each hole about 3/4 full to give the pancakes room to rise.
  6. Turn: Bake for 2-3 minutes per side until bubbles start to appear on the surface and the edges are firm. Use a silicone or wooden turner to easily flip the pancakes (they won't stick at all thanks to the ILAG surface!). Bake for another 1-2 minutes on the other side, until golden.
  7. Serving.

Serving:

Serve warm with your favorite toppings:

  • Fresh fruit (berries, bananas)
  • Maple syrup or honey
  • Whipped cream or Greek yogurt
  • Nutella, jam, cottage cheese
